India is seeing a surge in Covid cases across the country. In Kolkata positivity rate is at a staggering 60%, Mumbai's at 27%, Delhi and Chennai are at 23%. The immediate worry is the election campaign in five states. Rallies are banned till Saturday. Covid trends in poll-bound states are a major cause of concern. Major cities in all five states are seeing positivity rate of 5% and more. UP's weekly cases are rising at over 1300%.
