Covid-19 News: India reported 16,156 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 20 per cent higher than yesterday's 13,451 cases. 733 deaths due to the virus have been recorded in the period, with Kerala alone contributing 622 deaths. Weekly deaths in Kerala have gone down by 53%, according to officials, but backlog deaths that were not reported due to lack of documents are being added on.
