COVID-19 UK: Doctors face new surge in hospital patients

The announcement this week of the roadmap towards lifting the lockdown has coincided with an increase in people going to hospital: some with COVID-19, but many now with complaints usually associated with the winter pressures that traditionally stretch the health service.

Sick patients who stayed away in winter are now seeking treatment.

Sky’s Health Correspondent Ashish Joshi visits Warrington Hospital, which has seen a sharp spike in emergency attendances.
