COVID- 19: UK death total surpasses 120,000

The number of deaths in the UK has surpassed 120,000 as another 445 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours.

On Friday it was confirmed that the R number stands at between 0.6 and 0.9, with 0.6 the lowest it has been since the figures started being published in May 2020.

More than 17 million people in the UK have now received their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine.
