MPs have voted to approve new coronavirus regulations for England.

They backed Boris Johnson's toughened tiers system - which will replace lockdown tomorrow - by 291 votes to 78.

But dozens of Tory backbenchers rebelled.

Sky's chief political correspondent Jon Craig says the Prime Minister ‘begged’ MPs to back him.
