COVID-19 News: India Gets Vaccine Approval, Politics Starts On Cue

Politics has started over the approval to Bharat Biotech's Covaxin, with several opposition parties pointing out that the vaccine was approved without the due process. While it was Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav who refused to get vaccinated, calling it BJP's vaccine, many other joined the political one-upmanship. AAP has promised to provide free vaccinations in Delhi. Congress leaders, meanwhile, have questioned why protocols were not followed while giving approval to Covaxin.
