Covid-19 News: Amid Covid Surge, Delhi Government Seeks Centre's Nod To Shut Select Markets

Delhi COVID-19 Cases: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that his government has sought the centre's go-ahead to allow it to shut for a few days markets that may emerge as COVID-19 hotspots amid a coronavirus surge in the national capital. The state is also looking at reducing the number of people allowed for weddings back to 50. This, on a day Delhi recorded 6,396 new Covid cases and 99 deaths.
