China is doubling down on its "zero-COVID" strategy as it places Shanghai and 22 other cities under a tight lockdown to suppress surging infections.

Considered the heart of China's financial sector, the usually busy city of Shanghai rarely stops beating. Yet now, its streets are eerily quiet, as its 26 million residents are stuck at home under the strict new measures.

Those restrictions are taking a heavy toll on those people, and as Mike Drolet reports, experts believe the strategy is not feasible.
