Coronavirus has now reached every continent on the globe after 36 cases were discovered at a Chilean research station on the Antarctic Peninsula.
Health officials say the people infected have now been isolated and are being closely monitored.
The COVID-19 pandemic has wrecked Latin America's health systems and economies but Chile is due to start vaccinating its citizens next week.
