The COVID pandemic has made it more difficult for people to receive healthcare as hospitals become overwhelmed everywhere, but the situation in Gaza is especially serious.
There are two cancer centres in the Gaza Strip serving its population of more than two million people. They lack basic facilities such as radiation therapy.
Cancer patients needing specialised care already had very limited options.
Now, it is even worse as COVID restrictions have made travel to a hospital in the West Bank for treatment almost impossible, as getting permission from Israel to leave for treatment is not a guarantee.

Al Jazeera’s Natasha Ghoneim reports from Gaza.
