Despite the Labour Day offering one last holiday for the summer, travel for the weekend is reportedly seeing a decrease due to the rise of COVID-19's highly contagious Delta variant throughout the United States.
The Transportation Security Administration reported a steep drop in air travel, down to the fewest screenings this week since late May. Several travel industry trackers are also reporting a 10 per cent drop in travel for the weekend compared to 2019.
As Jennifer Johnson reports, the travel hesitancy comes as the threat to the unvaccinated grows ahead of a volatile back-to-school season.
