How safe would you feel on a plane right now if someone sitting near you weren’t wearing a mask?

On Tuesday, Transport Canada revealed dozens of travelers refuse to wear masks on Canadian airlines. Data shows that as of Dec. 8, nine passengers were fined for not wearing masks, and 63 warning letters were issued.

Masks are among the measures to protect passengers and crews as flights continue to take off despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mike Drolet looks into the studies that show there’s still uncertainty around how safe air travel really is.
