On Tuesday, United States Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the Senate will soon move forward on another COVID-19 relief bill, even if it doesn’t have Republican party support.
On the Senate floor, the Democratic leader said they would prefer to advance legislation with bipartisan support, but it could happen without Republicans if needed.
Senator Schumer also recognized that Republicans may be opposed to more spending.
He highlighted the urgency for more relief as Americans continue to die from the coronavirus and suffer economically.
