COVID-19 vaccines should arrive across the European Union's 27 member states at the same time, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in Brussels on Friday after EU leaders had debated a range of topics, including budget and climate, at a summit which lasted throughout the night.
“Whether that will happen within the same hour with 27 member states, that the needle is injected everywhere at the same second, I am not sure,” she joked.
Merkel added they “want to do this in a very coordinated fashion and show that everyone has the same kind of access."
