Congressman eviscerates top brass ⁠— 'the war is not over!' (Full show)

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and top US military officer General Mark Milley, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and General Frank McKenzie testified again before Congress in a second day of hearings concerning the war in Afghanistan and the much-criticized US withdrawal. RT America’s Faran Fronczak reports. Then former naval intelligence officer John Jordan joins Scottie Nell Hughes to weigh in. He points out that attention to “the woke wars” in the US command structure was an unaffordable distraction ahead of the crisis of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. He argues that the Biden administration craved the distinction of “ending America’s longest war” and didn’t anticipate the disastrous consequences of hasty withdrawal and social media blowback, so are now frantic to blame former President Trump.

More than 100 judges failed to recuse themselves form more than 600 cases where they had financial interest in the case, according to reports. When confronted, judges argued that there had been honest mistakes rendering them unaware of their own financial stake, or they pointed to cases where they ruled against their own financial interest. RT America’s Trinity Chavez has the details.

Congress is playing baseball as the real possibility of a government shutdown looms. If they cannot agree on a budget, innumerable government employees will be furloughed and services disrupted.
