Congress Stages Protest Seeking Jignesh Mevani’s Release

Congress staged a demonstration outside Kokrajhar Police Station in Assam seeking the release of Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani. Jignesh Mevani, an Independent MLA, was apprehended from Palanpur town in Gujarat on Wednesday night after a First Information Report (FIR) under various sections of the IPC and the IT Act was filed against him in Kokrajhar Police Station.
