Even before Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra enters Madhya Pradesh, the ruling BJP has decided to start a Janjatiya Gaurav Yatra from Baroda Ahir, the birthplace of tribal icon Tantya Bheel in Khandwa district. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and four of his ministerial colleagues will attend the event. BJP's yatra comes a day before Mr Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra reaches the same historic place. The tribal centric moves and posturing by both the parties are happening amid the rise in popularity of tribal outfit Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS), which is particularly penetrating into the young tribal voters.
