Although the Colombian government withdrew a controversial tax reform proposal after several days of deadly protests, demonstrators resumed rallying against President Ivan Duque's economic policies from Cali to Bogota.

Truck drivers used their vehicles to block access roads in Bogota, Zipaquira, Bucaramanga, and Barranquilla, saying they want the Duque administration to provide benefits for the sector, such as preferential gasoline prices.

Protests still raged in Cali, the country's third-largest city which has seen the most vociferous marches, some looting, and at least three deaths connected to the demonstrations.
