In May, Channel 4 News released exclusive data which showed that just 1 in 12 people working in film and TV are from working class backgrounds, the lowest in a decade.

Now, new data given to this programme has shown a dramatic collapse in uptake for creative courses in further education, including a 57% fall in England.

Experts are linking it to arts cuts at schools, and rhetoric from the previous government criticising the industry.
