Clearing up misconceptions surrounding COVID-19 vaccine efficacy

Federal health officials are asking Canadians to be vigilant until vaccine access fully expands. Four different vaccines are now approved for use here in Canada, but that doesn’t mean you should pick and choose which one you want. What matters is that they all protect you from getting seriously ill.

In a series of tweets on Monday, Canada’s top doctor Theresa Tam said Canada continues to “make progress with overall declines in severe illness and deaths.”

“But the decline in case counts has slowed and #VariantsOfConcern are increasing so we need to remain vigilant,” she wrote.
