Home Minister Amit Shah presented his views regarding CAA in front of the public in a meeting in Secunderabad and targeted the Congress Party. Accusing the Congress of appeasement politics, he said that now every refugee has the same right to live in the country as you and I have. Amit Shah said, "We had said that we will bring CAA, Congress party will bring CAA. Was opposed to. After independence, the makers of our Constitution had promised that we would give citizenship to the refugees coming from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan. But Congress opposed it due to vote bank and appeasement politics. Lakhs of people came to this country to save their religion and honor, but they did not get citizenship.
गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने सिकंदराबाद में एक सभा में सीएए को लेकर अपनी बात जनता के सामने रखी और कांग्रेस पार्टी पर निशाना साधा. उन्होंने कांग्रेस पर तुष्टिकरण की राजनीति का आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि अब देश में जीने का जितना अधिकार मुझे और आपको है, उतना ही अधिकार हर शर्णार्थी को भी है.अमित शाह ने कहा ''हमने कहा था कि हम सीएए लाएंगे, कांग्रेस पार्टी सीएए का विरोध करती थी. आजादी के बाद से हमारे संविधान निर्माताओं का वादा था कि बांग्लादेश, अफगानिस्तान और पाकिस्तान से जो शर्णार्थी आएंगे उन्हें हम नागरिकता देंगे. लेकिन वोट बैंक और तुष्टिकरण की राजनीति के चलते कांग्रेस इसका विरोध करती थी. लाखों लोग अपना धर्म और सम्मान बचाने के लिए इस देश में आए, लेकिन उन्हें नागरिकता नहीं मिलती थी.
