Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Moscow ahead of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Sky News' Moscow correspondent Diana Magnay says the meetings is a "very important" diplomatic moment, with trade and economic ties expected to be discussed, but Russia as the junior partner.

The Chinese government has provided little information on the purpose of the visit, but the Kremlin's website suggests important bilateral documents will be signed.
