China and the European Union are discussing planned tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles.
The two sides agreed to negotiate after the EU announced planned levies of up to 38 percent, to compensate for what it says are unfair government subsidies.
If no agreement is reached, the duties will come into effect on Thursday.
