Scientists in Chile are trying to stop ships from hitting whales.
Commercial shipping is the leading cause of death among whales in Chile’s waters.
A new technology called LIDO (Listening to the Deep Ocean), can pinpoint whales’ locations and send a satellite message in real time to Chile’s navy, which in turn alerts nearby ships.
