Chile’s Constitutional Convention is committed to promoting citizen’s participation - and one way is to allow people to present initiatives online.
Delegates would be obliged to consider and debate them if they obtain at least 15,000 signatures.
It is a novel system in which common citizens are the ones who have suggested initiatives.
These cover a range of issues, from animal rights and the environment to universal healthcare.
