Children's Commissioner wants transgender guidance published

England's Children's Commissioner is calling on the government to publish guidance for schools regarding pupils questioning their gender.

Rachel de Souza told Sky News that teachers are not medical professionals and need the advice sooner rather than later.

It comes after a number of parents were not informed by schools that their child had socially transitioned without their knowledge or consent.
