Rishi Sunak is set to unveil new powers to stop people who enter the UK illegally from claiming asylum.

One of the criticisms of the current system is the lack of safe and legal routes by which people can claim asylum in the UK.

The Chair of the Commission on the Integration of Refugees, Lord Carlile, has told Sky News there is a risk the UK may break its link with European Convention on Human Rights.
