इसरो के वैज्ञानिकों ने चंद्रयान-3 को पृथ्वी की ऑर्बिट से चांद की तरफ भेजा। इसे ट्रांसलूनर इंजेक्शन (TLI) कहा जाता है। इससे पहले चंद्रयान ऐसी अंडाकार कक्षा में घूम रहा था, जिसकी पृथ्वी से सबसे कम दूरी 236 km और सबसे ज्यादा दूरी 1,27,603 km थी। अब 5 अगस्त को ये चंद्रमा की ऑर्बिट में पहुंचेगा और 23 अगस्त को चंद्रमा पर लैंड करेगा।

ट्रांसलूनर इंजेक्शन के लिए बेंगलुरु में मौजूद इसरो के हेडक्वार्टर से वैज्ञानिकों ने चंद्रयान का इंजन कुछ देर के लिए चालू किया। इंजन फायरिंग तब की गई जब चंद्रयान पृथ्वी से 236 Km की दूरी पर था। इसरो ने कहा- चंद्रयान-3 पृथ्वी के चारों ओर अपनी परिक्रमा पूरी कर चंद्रमा की ओर बढ़ रहा है। इसरो ने अंतरिक्ष यान को ट्रांसलूनर कक्षा में स्थापित कर दिया है।

Earlier, Chandrayaan was moving in such an elliptical orbit, whose minimum distance from the Earth was 236 km and the maximum distance was 1,27,603 km. Now on August 5, it will reach the Moon's orbit and will land on the Moon on August 23.

For translunar injection, scientists from ISRO's headquarters in Bengaluru started Chandrayaan's engine for some time. Engine firing was done when Chandrayaan was at a distance of 236 Km from the Earth. ISRO said- Chandrayaan-3 is moving towards the Moon after completing its orbit around the Earth. ISRO has placed the spacecraft in the translunar orbit.
