The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) cut membership and policy activity as NatWest, Aviva, and John Lewis suspended collaboration or quit after a second female worker alleged rape.

CBI's president, Brian McBride, admitted that "a number of people" had been dismissed amid a police investigation into sexual misconduct and acknowledged leadership failures in protecting staff.
