Just one in ten people who face a cardiac arrest out of hospital will survive, according to a new report.

The report from the Heart and Stroke Foundation found that the number of cardiac arrests in Canada is significantly higher than previously estimated.

The data also showed that nearly half of cardiac arrests happen to people under the age of 65.
