Cancer rates in Liverpool 'highest in England' according to new report

A new report has warned that England's cancer survival rate could go into reverse, with many lives ending prematurely, because of disruption to the NHS caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The problem is particularly acute on Merseyside, where cases of some types of cancer are up to 75% higher than the rest of the country.
