Air travel is already an exhausting and frustrating journey, especially amidst the pandemic and winter weather delays. It was made worse for 16-year-old Grace Rowe, who was forced to spend the night alone at an airport departure gate, as she tried to get back to her family in Nova Scotia.

The teenager was flying alone from Saskatoon to Halifax through WestJet, when she ran into trouble trying to connect flights due to delays, and was turned away at the gate in Toronto.

Ross Lord reports on how the ordeal also left Rowe's mother powerless.
