Canada tried 'quiet diplomacy' with India before making accusation, UN ambassador says

Bob Rae, Canada's ambassador to the United Nations, called the government of India's response to allegations that it was involved in a killing on Canadian soil 'disappointing.' Rae, who also said Canada had nothing to gain by making the accusation, noted that the accusation was made based on 'very reliable information' that was also shared with India in what he called a 'quiet diplomacy process.'
