Canada is forecast to fall short of its 2030 target to cut emissions by 40 per cent, according to a new report by Trottier Energy Institute.

That means the federal government will need to rethink how it's going to fulfill its recent net-zero promise by 2050.

Eric Sorensen breaks down the report findings and what it means ahead of the United Nations climate summit in Glasgow, COP26.
