A three-judge bench of the Karnataka High Court began hearing the hijab case on Thursday. The hijab protests began last month at the Government Girls PU College in Karnataka's Udupi when six students alleged that they had been barred from classes for insisting on wearing the headscarf. The hearing will resume on Monday. Can religious symbols be banned from classrooms? We debate.
