Across the world, some women are reporting a seemingly rare symptom after their COVID-19 vaccine: post-menopausal bleeding. However, only a small handful of research currently exists on the topic.
Dr. Tali Bogler, the chair of family medicine obstetrics at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, says the irregularities may be attributed to the body’s short-term immune response. But, she says the same cannot be said about women in menopause.
As Global’s Jamie Mauracher reports, experts aren’t sure if it’s a coincidence or a side-effect.
