Mammograms are important in detecting breast cancer and saving lives. While anyone at any age can get breast cancer, regular mammograms aren't recommended for younger women.
But Alberta has recently lowered the recommended age for breast cancer screening by five years, and is now joining among a handful of other Canadian provinces and territories to offer regular screening to women under 50.
As Sarah Komadina, calls are growing to revise the rules to save more lives.
