Burkina Faso's military leader Ibrahim Traore says elections can only be held, once the security situation stabilises.
Thousands have gathered in the capital to celebrate the military government's first year in power, days after another coup attempt failed.
Burkina Faso has continued to struggle, increasingly isolated after the coup and with swaths of the country in the hands of local al-Qaeda and ISIL affiliates.
