Budget 2024: Govt promises cancer drug funds, cuts $1.5B from housing | 1News

In the middle of a housing crisis, the Government has slashed $1.5 billion from housing programmes and promised to build just 1,500 new homes in the next two years.

Finance Minister Nicola Willis, who delivered her first Budget last week, has been speaking to the Canterbury business community.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said New Zealanders can expect an announcement on funding for 13 new cancer drugs by Christmas.
