Sanjiv Bajaj, the vice president of the industry body CII, said "the single focus of this budget is that the government is betting on growth. If you see the last four or five years, the economy's growth has been led more on the consumption side, that helps in the short term but really long term growth for a developing country, like us, comes from the investment side and that is the clear intent that we see from the government today across multiple sectors."
