Three Israeli women who were taken hostage from their homes by Hamas militants on Oct. 7 appeared in a newly released video shared by the Palestinian group on their Telegram channel Monday.

Though it is unclear when the video was recorded, or where the hostages were located, they are seen in good health, according to Shiri Grosbard, a close family friend to one of the detainees.

"We got good news today because we got to see Lena,” Grosbard said, referring to Yelena Trupanob. “We know that she is alive... She looks very sad, but she looks physically well."

Alongside Trupanob, the Hamas video shows women identified by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as Danielle Aloni and Rimon Kirsht. In the recording, Aloni accuses Netanyahu of failing to protect citizens of Israel during the fatal attacks by Hamas earlier in the month and called for him to conduct an exchange with Palestinian prisoners in Israel.

On Thursday, the Israeli military said that the number of hostages in the Gaza strip is at least 224, and could potentially be more.
