MPs in Australia have voted to urge Britain and the US to allow the Australian whistleblower Julian Assange to return home.

The High Court in London is due to issue a ruling next week on an appeal by the WikiLeaks founder against extradition to the US.
He's wanted there to face espionage charges for publishing hundreds of thousands of leaked documents about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Geoffrey Robertson is a Human Rights Barrister and Former Legal Adviser to Julian Assange.
He says that the US position on Assange continuing to serve time is meant to deter others.
