Indigenous protesters and police have clashed outside Brazil’s Congress building, suspending a session inside.
Brazil’s security forces have fired stun grenades, tear gas and pepper spray against Indigenous protesters, who were marching to the Congress building.
Several demonstrators have been injured and hospitalised while three policemen were also wounded by Indigenous arrows.
Legislators are debating a controversial bill which would pave the way for commercial farming and mining in protected Indigenous lands.
