Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has promised to improve ties with Argentina, which became strained under his predecessor, Jair Bolsonaro.
He was speaking in Buenos Aires on his first foreign trip since taking office this month.
Lula and his Argentinian counterpart, Alberto Fernandez, are looking into a common currency.
