In Brazil a parliamentary inquiry has said that the country’s President, Jair Bolsonaro, should be charged with crimes against humanity over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
The country’s death toll from the pandemic is more than 600,000, the second highest in the wold after the United States.
The President is accused of recklessness in denying the seriousness of the pandemic and “deliberate neglect” of Brazil’s indigenous peoples. He’s also accused of the misuse of public funds.
