A congressional committee in Brazil is set to recommend mass homicide charges against President Jair Bolsonaro, which include the intentional failure to tackle the coronavirus, not acquiring vaccines early on and peddling bogus treatments which led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.
An 11-member panel prepared the 1,200 draft report, which was six months in the making.
But senators could still veto and alter the report, which Bolsonaro himself has mocked.
