BP today said its profits have more than trebled thanks to surging energy prices.
But those same surging prices are set to push domestic energy bills to more than £3,600 per household this winter.
Poverty campaigners say the dramatic increase in the energy price cap - due to take effect in less than two months - means the government must urgently boost the cash support they are giving to consumers.
