Philippines boxing icon Manny Pacquiao says he will run for president in the 2022 election after railing against government corruption and what he calls President Rodrigo Duterte’s cosy relationship with China.
Pacquiao is currently a senator, He was nominated by a faction of the ruling party.
It comes after a rival faction named Christopher “Bong” Go, a senator and longtime aide of Duterte as its choice.
