After 13 years of near silence in the conservatorship that controls her life and money, Britney Spears passionately told a judge in a 20-minute audio statement on Wednesday that she wants to end the “abusive” case that has made her feel demoralized, depressed, and enslaved.

Outside the courthouse in Los Angeles, California, several dozen fans, many of them dressed in pink and holding "Free Britney" placards, rallied in support of the 39-year-old pop star, and many were shocked and "heartbroken" at the "bombshells" dropped during her plea to the judge.

"The fact that she has an IUD that they will not let her take out. She wants to have children, she wants to get married and they will not let her do that. It's heartbreaking," one #FreeBritney supporter said.

"We're not only going to free Britney but we're going to reform these laws. We're going to fix this broken system," another supported vowed.
