Three bodies were discovered on Friday in Mexico’s Baja California state — the same place an American and two Australian tourists were reported missing earlier in the week.

Australian brothers Callum and Jake Robinson, aged 33 and 30, and American Carter Rhoad, 30, were last seen on April 27, according to the Baja California prosecutor's office. The trio was in Ensenada to surf — it's a hot spot for the sport.

Though authorities have not yet confirmed whether the located bodies were those of the three travelers, the remains were discovered by searchers looking specifically for them.
